Self Reiki Practice - Healing Seven Chakras

When you do self-Reiki on the 7 chakras, place your own hands on (or slightly above) each chakra location. You may adjust positions to avoid strain.

Note: The order of chakras (Root -> Crown OR Crown->Root) is not really rigid. Whichever way you find it convenient and intuitive, is fine. Ultimate goal is, to cover all 7 chakras in an order (Either ascending or descending).

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Base of spine / pelvic floor

  • Touch: Rest your hands on your lower abdomen just above the pubic bone, or place palms on the tops of your thighs.

  • Note: Direct access to the base of spine isn’t practical in self-Reiki, so this adjusted position still channels energy effectively.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) – Lower abdomen

  • Touch: Place both palms gently over your lower belly, about two inches below the navel.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Upper abdomen

  • Touch: Place hands over your stomach, between the navel and the base of the ribs.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Center of chest

  • Touch: Place one or both hands flat over the center of your chest.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – Throat area

  • Touch: Lightly rest one or both hands at the base of your throat or across the upper chest just below the collarbone.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) – Forehead

  • Touch: Place fingertips or palms gently over your forehead, or rest one hand on the forehead and one hand at the back of your head.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) – Top of head

  • Touch: Rest one or both palms lightly on the crown of your head.
